- 1/2 cup water (for adjusting consistency)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, dry roast the flour over medium heat, stirring constantly until it turns golden brown and emits a nutty aroma. This may take about 15-20 minutes.
- In a separate pan, toast the almonds until golden, then chop them coarsely.
- In a bowl, combine the roasted flour, powdered sugar, toasted almonds, sesame seeds, cinnamon, anise, ginger, and salt. Mix well.
- Melt the butter and pour it over the dry mixture, mixing thoroughly until the ingredients are well combined.
- Gradually add water to achieve a crumbly yet moldable consistency.
- Transfer the mixture to a serving dish, shaping it into a mound or pressing it into a mold.
- Allow it to cool slightly before serving. Optionally, garnish with additional toasted almonds or sesame seeds.
