Liverpool, England–At Anfield stadium, Manchester United broke a four-game losing streak in the 2024/25 English Premier League season, marking a victory and redemption for Manchester United after Liverpool crushed Manchester United in 3-0 defeat on August 4th, 2024.
Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo, Manchester United midfielders spearheaded the charge against Liverpool, shocking any Manchester United fan’s expectations. “It was a little lesson for Liverpool. The players maybe got a bit carried away,” said Jamie Carraghe, Former Liverpool defender. Mo Salah, Liverpool right winger, was poised to win the game from the get-go and each time United had the ball during the first half, Liverpool went toe-to-toe. Eventually, Amad Diallo, Manchester United wingback sealed a late but timely 2-2 draw that moved Manchester United up to 13th place ranking and ended their four-game losing streak.
Though Manchester United has lost nine of their 19 league games this season, with 14 wins, 4 draws and only one loss, Liverpool’s performance is fierce competition for Nottingham Forest as they face off on January 14th in The City Ground stadium at WestBridgford.
