Lebron James was born on December 30, 1988 in Akron, Ohio. He is a fun and supporting father of three and a loving husband to his high school sweetheart Savannah. James started to get a taste of fame in high school. During his freshman year at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, he averaged 18 points per game and helped his team win the Division III State Championship. By his senior year he was averaging 31.6 points per game and won the Division III State Championship Title three times. By the time he graduated he was the youngest person to be chosen for the USA Today All-USA First Team, was recognized by PARADE magazine as High School Boys Basketball Player of the Year and was also Gatorade’s Player of the Year. He scored an impressive 2,657 points during his entire high school career.

It was no surprise that James went straight to the NBA after high school as the number 1 draft pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers. During his 2003-2004 season he was the youngest and first player in the franchise to be awarded NBA Rookie of the Year at 20 years old.

Lebron continued to break records while playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2005 he was the youngest player to score over 50 points in a game. During his 2007-08 season he averaged 30 points per game, It was the highest ever during a NBA season.

In 2010 James left millions of fans disappointed when he left his hometown team and signed a contract with the Miami Heat. Although many saw it as a betrayal, James knew it was the right decision for his career. Success continued to rain in for James. In 2012 James won his first NBA Championship title and he beat Kobi Bryant’s record by scoring 20,000 points by the age of 28. In 2013, he won his second consecutive title with the Miami Heat.

In 2014 James returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2016 he brought the team its first Championship title by scoring 41 points throughout the game. This was James’ third title and sixth consecutive year going to the playoffs. His strength and leadership earned him the name “King James”.

In 2018 James decided to join the LA Lakers and is still committed to the team today. In January of 2020, James beat Kobi Bryant and Micheal Jordan’s record of career tally points by scoring over 33,643 points throughout his career. His story continues to be filled with record breaking achievements. In 2008 and 2012 he became an Olympic Gold Medal champion.


In Ohio he continues to give back. He and his mother Gloria James run a program that helps children of single parents. In 2018 he opened “I Promise” an elementary school in his hometown of Akron Ohio that gives children from low income homes access to free food, bikes, college money and more.
