The red-hued Lake Natron and Mount Kilimanjaro – the tallest mountain in Africa (and the largest free-standing mountain on Earth) are some of the must-see treasures. The vast Serengeti plains are home to herds of countless animals, recalling the splendor of Africa’s past.
There’s Zanzibar, an idyllic island off the coast of Tanzania. This Island was a hub for the slave trade across East Africa which is why it has a lot of significance to the African American community. All this history sits still in its Museum – a former slave trade market at Stone Town. The beaches in Zanzibar are among the best in the world. You can witness millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles making the dangerous Mara River crossing. To increase your chances of spotting the big five (lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffaloes) and other migrating animals, time your visit between July and October during the Great Migration. Nestled between the Sahara Desert in the east and the Atlantic Ocean in the west, the country has a blend of Mediterranean and Arabic cultures.

From amazing diverse landscapes (savannah, volcanoes, lakes, and lush forests) to incredible wildlife, countless natural gems will take your breath away. The country boasts an extraordinary range of flora and fauna in its mountains, forests, and plains.
