PHILADELPHIA, Pa.–In a snooze-fest game, the hapless New York Giants had nothing to prove except breaking their 11-year and 11-game losing streak against the Philadelphia Eagles. When the cameras caught A.J. Brown, Eagles wide receiver, barely awake on the bench, Eagles fans appeared unbothered, as it seemed no one wanted to be there.
Marking a 12-year and 12-game stretch, the Giants lost yet another game against the Eagles in a 20-13 victory. “They’ve already secured a playoff spot, already won the NFC East, and after playing 12 games in a row since their early Week 5. Those guys need a break,” said Nick Sirianni, Eagles head coach. With Jalen Hurts ruled out and other key players like Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, and Jalen Carter ruled doubtful, Sirianni decided to avoid more injuries.
The New York Giants ended this season with the fourth overall draft pick as the Eagles will host the Green Bay Packers in the Wildcard rounds on Saturday, January 11th at Lincoln Financial Field stadium. Will Saquon Barkley and A.J. Brown lead the Eagles to defeat the Packers?
