She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Temple University, and is a former executive board member of the Nigerian American Young Adults Association.

How does it feel to be nominated? It’s a great honor to be featured and recognized for my work. I appreciate this moment!

What are your plans?
We plan on expanding our magazine to reach Black women internationally. We hope to achieve this through fashion shows, galas, forums, and conferences. We also have a web series and hope to create a media platform that accurately represents Black millennial women.

What are you are engaged in? As well as KAMSI Magazine and my web series, Seat at the Table, I work as a Biospecimen Coordinator in the Oncology Department at the University of Penn.

What does it mean to you to be a part of the diaspora? It means to be a part of a community of leaders and innovators. To be African means to be resourceful when resources are taken from us. To be prideful when the majority of the world is telling us we’re not good enough. To be intelligent and innovative when we’re perceived as dependent. To be a part of the Diaspora means to be resilient, just by existing.
