The Hon. Campbell was elected to the Court of Common Pleas, Philadelphia, in November of 2013 and has served since January of 2014. He is assigned to the Criminal Trial Division – Major Trials Program, where he presides over serious non-homicide felony cases arising from incidents in the northwestern part of the City

During his 40 years in the music industry, and 30 years as a professional musician, Child’s musical experience and accomplishments include writing, producing, and performing on multiple records, developing a music production and promotion company, working on a commercial for Nike, creating a recording label, starting his own band, ‘Foster Child and the Runaway Band,’ and exploring new technology to create multi-media based performances.

In addition, he is a Trustee of the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the Board of Overseers of the University Of Pennsylvania Law School, where he is an Adjunct Professor of Law.

Michael A. Rashid has made it his life’s work to ensure those most in need have access to one of the most basic of human rights: health care. He was inspired to a lifetime of service by accompanying his father on his rounds on behalf of the Negro Health and Tuberculosis Association during his youth in Birmingham, Alabama. Later, when Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.called for many to march in the name of justice, Mr. Rashid answered the call, marching with Dr. King in the name of civil rights for African Americans and ultimately, all people.
