Description

Ingredients
- 1 kg beef, minced
- 500 g pork, minced
- 250 g beef fat, minced
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon coriander seeds, ground
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 meter hog casings, soaked and rinsed
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the minced beef, pork, and beef fat.
- Add salt, black pepper, ground coriander, nutmeg, and allspice to the meat mixture.
- Pour in the vinegar and Worcestershire sauce, mixing thoroughly.
- Gradually add water to achieve a moist consistency.
- Rinse the hog casings thoroughly and fit them onto a sausage stuffer.
- Carefully fill the casings with the meat mixture, ensuring no air pockets remain.
- Twist sausages into 15 cm links and tie off the ends.
- Preheat a grill or braai to medium heat.
- Grill the boerewors for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally until fully cooked and browned.
