Instructions
- Soak the dried chickpeas in water overnight. Drain and rinse before cooking.

- Add the soaked chickpeas and broth to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 1 hour, or until the chickpeas are tender.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- To serve, place torn pieces of bread in bowls, ladle the hot chickpea soup over the bread, and garnish with chopped parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice.
