    • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

    • 1 tablespoon butter, for greasing

    Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a tart dish with butter.
    2. In a bowl, mix the flour, butter, sugar, egg, baking powder, and salt until a dough forms.
    3. Press the dough into the bottom and sides of the prepared tart dish.
    4. Bake the crust for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden.
    5. In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until warm.
    6. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, and beaten eggs.
    7. Gradually add the warm milk to the egg mixture, whisking continuously.
    8. Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
    9. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
    10. Pour the custard into the baked crust and smooth the top.
    11. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
