- 2 liters of water

- 1 onion, chopped
- 2-3 tablespoons of pepper soup spice mix (including ingredients like uziza seeds and scent leaves)
- Salt to taste
- Fresh scent leaves or basil for garnish
Instructions
- Clean the meat thoroughly and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large pot, add the meat and pour in the water.
- Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer, skimming off any foam that rises to the surface.
- Add the chopped onion, ground ginger, and garlic to the pot.
- After about 30 minutes, add the ground crayfish, ground pepper, and pepper soup spice mix.
- Continue to simmer until the meat is tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Just before serving, add the fresh scent leaves or basil for garnish.
- Serve hot, preferably with a side of rice or yam.
