Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh ginger root, peeled and grated

- 8 cups water

- Add the grated ginger and sugar to the boiling water, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.

- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean container to remove the ginger pulp.
- Add the lime juice to the strained liquid. If using yeast, dissolve it in a small amount of warm water and then add it to the mixture.
- Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then cover and let it ferment for 24-48 hours in a cool, dark place.
- Once fermented, refrigerate the ginger beer. Serve chilled, and enjoy!
