    Ingredients

    • 500g attiéké (fermented cassava)
    • 4 medium-sized tilapia fish, cleaned and scaled
    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

    • 1-2 green chilies, chopped (to taste)
    • Salt, to taste
    • Pepper, to taste
    • Lemon or lime, for serving

    Instructions

    1. Rinse the attiéké under cold water and let it drain in a sieve for about 10 minutes.
    2. Season the tilapia fish with salt and pepper, and let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
    3. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the fish for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
    4. In the same pan, add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
    5. Add the diced tomatoes and green chilies, cooking until the tomatoes soften. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
