Uncle Bobbie’s is named for Marc Lamont Hill’s late uncle. It is a coffee shop, a bookstore, a community gathering space, and a cultural anchor for the Germantown corridor. The book selection is intentionally curated: Black literature, politics, history, children’s books. Events happen here regularly. During the World Cup, it will become a gathering point for African diaspora visitors seeking exactly what it offers: a Black-owned cultural anchor. Make sure the community knows Uncle Bobbie’s is theirs first. Support it, don’t just Instagram it.
