Philadelphia Music Alliance Walk of Fame

Dedicated December 1986. The Walk of Fame honors Philadelphia’s rich musical legacy, Blues, gospel, soul, pop, jazz, and the classics. Honorees include Leslie Odom Jr., The O’Jays, Patti LaBelle, Billie Holiday, The Roots, Teddy Pendergrass, Will Smith, Boyz II Men, Kenny Gamble, Leon Huff, Grover Washington, Ethel Waters, Sister Sledge and many other Black performers and artists. Plaques are embedded on sidewalks along the Avenue of the Arts from Walnut Street to Spruce Street, with a head marker at the corner of Broad & Walnut. New plaques are installed annually. Many include QR codes you can scan for brief bios.
