Experience is not always the best teacher. You don’t have to suffer to understand pain’s lessons. Unfortunately, society often forces individuals to confront their deepest fears, and too often, these fears take root in childhood. The challenges faced by those with diverse sexual orientations resonate with anyone who has ever been marginalized, labeled, or pushed to conform.
As a young boy, society decided who I was before I even had the chance to understand myself.
From being called “girly” or “gay” to feeling uncomfortable expressing myself through hand gestures, I was constantly reminded that my identity was something that needed to be “corrected.” My childhood was not a space where I could freely grow and discover who I truly was. Instead, I faced hurtful comments from neighbors, classmates, and strangers, forcing me into a box I never chose.
Breaking the Silence on Harassment and Rejection
Navigating mockery, rejection, and harassment is something many children endure in silence. Too often, discussions about sexuality and gender are only brought up to shame or “correct” someone. These stigmas create an environment where harassment and even assault go unnoticed or unreported. From painful experience, I can say that the atrocities happening in our communities remain hidden because we are too afraid to speak out.
Even worse, some of those who judge and condemn are the very predators who thrive in the silence surrounding these issues. This must change. We need to create a culture where children can grow and explore their identity safely, without fear of ridicule or harm.
The urgency to address these issues fuels my passion for storytelling. Silence is no longer an option. The concept of “it takes a village to raise a child” has been distorted into a tool that enforces harmful norms, limiting the potential of children to explore and define who they truly are. Instead of mourning the childhood we never had, we must become the reason children believe in the endless possibilities of their existence.
Through Writing and Film: Stories That Matter
Through my writing and filmmaking, I aim to explore themes that matter deeply to me: boys’ rights, self-discovery, acceptance, albinism awareness, and the importance of living authentically. These stories are not just for me-they are for everyone who has ever felt silenced or misunderstood. By sharing my journey and offering a space for others to do the same, I hope to spark conversations that will help create a world where every child can grow up free from fear and judgment.

Introducing Dark Rainbow: The Ironic Color Code of Sexuality
In my debut novel, Dark Rainbow: The Ironic Color Code of Sexuality, I invite readers to journey with me through the struggles of self-discovery. Available now on Amazon, this book is more than just a narrative-it’s a letter to those who have been forced to confront the harsh realities of being misunderstood as sexual minorities.
Telling our stories helps us heal. Writing this book has been part of my quest to find myself within the chaos of my past. Through these pages, I reflect on how society’s labels shaped me from a young age. The rainbow colors others used to define me are still vivid in my mind-how could they not be, given how early I was exposed to such judgments?
The opinions of insensitive adults became my deepest fears, leaving me to wrestle with the question of whether we can ever truly take pride in what our mothers and society have dishonored. This book is my attempt at finding liberation, at shedding the burden of societal norms that have plagued me and countless others. I write for those who are still searching for their own identity in the shadows of those judgments, hoping that within the “dark rainbow,” they will find a light that leads to self-acceptance.
A Message for the Next Generation
Beyond writing, I’m committed to fostering an ongoing conversation through the official Instagram page for Dark Rainbow: @darkrainbowbook. This page serves as a space for discussion and connection, offering one-on-one counseling sessions for young boys who need guidance on their journey of self-discovery and acceptance.
Upcoming Film: A Rainbow for Christmas
I am proud to announce my upcoming short film, A Rainbow for Christmas, slated to premiere on December 20, 2025. On Christmas Eve, Ezra, a young man struggling with his identity, gathers the courage to come out to his family. What follows is a heartwarming and unexpected response, reminding him that love-like the holiday season-is unconditional.
This film is a testament to the power of love, acceptance, and the importance of embracing one’s true self, even in the face of adversity.
The Journey Continues
As I continue to develop my voice as a writer and filmmaker, my commitment remains steadfast: to speak truth to power, to challenge harmful norms, and to advocate for those who continue to face the trauma of rejection and silence. The need for change is urgent, and I will not rest until every child has the chance to grow in a world where they are celebrated for who they are.
Through Dark Rainbow, A Rainbow for Christmas, and my ongoing advocacy, I hope to be part of a movement that creates a future where children can explore their identities without fear-where the weight of societal labels no longer shapes who they become.
It is time to break the silence and rewrite the narrative. Together, we can create a world where every child knows they are worthy of love, acceptance, and the freedom to be their authentic selves.
