Check out a dramatization of the historic meeting that occurred at Byberry Hall to protest the Fugitive Slave Law in 1850. It urged local citizens to assist in capturing runaway indentured individuals. Reenactors will portray abolitionists Robert Purvis and Harriet Forten Purvis, who mobilized local Byberry residents to defy the uncivil law. Concert singer Elizabeth Taylor Greenfield will perform.
