That’s where the Independence Visitor Center steps in and steps up: They will host the delicious Birthday Party in the USA, complete with patriotic cupcakes, to mark America’s 250th birthday. Feast your eyes and mouth on 5,000 tasty little red, white, and blue treats; enjoy games, prizes, face painting, entertainment, including a fife and drum band and other colonial-era reenactors, interactive activities, and appearances by current and former Miss Philadelphia titleholders. Check out Historic Once Upon a Nation storytelling experiences presented by Historic Philadelphia. Sign one of the largest birthday cards ever created. Design a personalized commemorative baseball cap ($10) at Patriotic Station. Pick exclusive Philadelphia-themed and 250th anniversary patches by Primitive Boutique. The Independence Visitor Center, ShopRite Philadelphia, and Miss Philadelphia will host the event.
