Get a true taste of the islands by learning all about Caribbean Carnival costume design. Dive into the fundamentals of Caribbean Carnival costuming at the Art of Mas. Get schooled on the craft of sketching initial concepts, picking fabrics and practicing the art of creating fancy costumes.
Designer Akin Ross will lead the workshop. He was raised on the island of Trinidad and Tobago, home of one of the world’s largest carnivals. His design company has been represented in carnivals in St. Martin, Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, Trinidad, and Miami, Florida.
