The 21st Century Business Starts With Education

As I look into the future, I see many jobs that require computer expertise and I see many future adults who do not have those skills. As alumni of the Philadelphia public school system, I am sad to say that cyber charter schools beat brick and mortar public school by a wide margin. My 9 year old daughter has been in cyber charter schools 5 out of the last 6 years since kindergarten. A cyber charter programs offers its students FREE computers (laptops even!), FREE internet access (saving families $40.00 a month) and FREE learning tools to prepare their students for the 21st century.

As young black person who was born and raised in the city of Philadelphia, finding your identity can be one of the most unidentifiable challenges of your youth. The reason why I refer to it as an “unidentifiable challenge” is because most times in the lives of young black people, finding oneself is a struggle that can be difficult to articulate and pinpoint.
