April Events Are In Full Bloom In 2025

The month of April is here again and with it comes a rush of activities all around the world. Whether it be music festivals, sporting events, cultural and social events, or internationally sanctioned celebrations, April seems to be the perfect month to experience a potpourri of activities crashing over each other like tidal waves.

Whatever your interests may be, April offers you an opportunity to indulge your passion through varied activities happening across the globe. Whether you are traveling across countries or resident in some, here are a couple of activities to look forward to.

For all Golf lovers, April 2025 ushers in the most prestigious golf tournament – The Masters. Set to be held from 10 – 13 April at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, the event will showcase some of the best golfers globally like Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm, Ludvig Aberg, and Xander Schauffele among many others.

Moving on from golf, the NBA playoffs begin on April 19 as seven teams from each conference slug it out to determine the league champion.

For football enthusiasts, the UEFA Champions League heats up as eight teams in this year’s quarter-final stage battle it out from April 8 for a place in the semi-final slot. The greatest club football competition has some exciting surprise teams making it to the quarter-final stage for the first time in 42 years. All eyes will be on the English Club Aston Villa to put a stop to a rampaging Paris Saint-Germain FC of France who are gunning for the coveted UEFA Champions League trophy.

Other sports activities taking place this month are the Badminton Asia Championship from April 8 – 13, and the World Table Tennis Series Contender which also takes place from 8 – 13 April among many others.

Music and Arts Fiesta

Music is food for the soul and this month of April offers a mouthwatering buffet of musical events and shows targeted at enriching the soul of all music lovers. Starting from 11 – 20 April, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will be held in Indio, California. 

This annual music and arts festival will not only feature popular music artists like Post Malone, Travis Scott, Lady Gaga, and Megan Thee Stallion among several others, but it will also provide its platform to new and upcoming artists. The event also treats guests to various art exhibitions.

For lovers of Jazz, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is set to be held from 24 April through to 4 May in Louisiana. The event will showcase artists like Luke Combs, Patti Labelle, Gladys Knight, The Wailers ft Julian Marley, and Burna Boy among several others.

Across the globe, other music and art festivals that will be taking place are the Organik Musical event in the Shimen District, Taiwan from 25 – 27 April, the Terminal V Musical event happening in Edinburgh, Scotland from 19 – 20 April as well as the Rainbow Disco Club event in Shizuoka, Japan from 18 – 20 April.

In April, Christians around the world will be looking forward to 20 April as they mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ during the Easter celebrations. From attending church services to leveraging the occasion to experience the joy of family gatherings, as well as engaging in one charity activity, Easter holds a special place in the hearts of Christians worldwide.

From 14 – 30 April, the New York Public Library will play host to the World Literature and Arts Festival. The annual event will showcase diverse voices in the literary space as well as the city’s multilingual diversity. A lineup of writing workshops, panel sessions with various authors, performances as well as culinary experience awaits all who attend the event.

For those visiting Thailand in April, the Thai New Year which comes up between 13 – 15 April is famous for the Songkran festival where a national water fight occurs as locals engage in a fun-filled water dousing session.

Another festival worth experiencing is the Keukenhof Tulip Festival which occurs throughout April in the Netherlands and showcases an array of tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths along a massive acre of land. Others are the Lotus Lantern Festival (YeonDeungHoe) from 25 – 27 April in Seoul, South Korea, and the Beltane Fire Festival on April 30 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
