Ingredients
- 500g all-purpose flour
- 10g active dry yeast
- 300ml warm water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water and let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
- Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and vegetable oil.
- Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a round loaf.
- Place the loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover, and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
- Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
