Description

Ingredients
- 2 cups mauby bark
- 8 cups water
- 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- Ice cubes (for serving)
Instructions
- Rinse the mauby bark under cold water to remove any impurities.
- In a large pot, bring the 8 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the mauby bark to the boiling water and reduce the heat to a simmer.
- Let it simmer for about 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse.
- After 30 minutes, remove the pot from heat and strain the liquid into a large bowl or pitcher, discarding the bark.
- While the liquid is still warm, stir in the sugar until fully dissolved.
- Add the vanilla extract, grated nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves, mixing well.
- Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
- Serve over ice cubes and enjoy.
