    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 cup milk
    • Bay leaves for garnish

    Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
    2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, sautéing until soft.
    3. Stir in the curry powder, turmeric, coriander, and cumin, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
    4. Add the ground meat, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned.
    5. Squeeze the soaked bread to remove excess milk and crumble it into the meat mixture.
    6. Stir in the chutney, raisins, almonds, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well and remove from heat.
    7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
    8. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk, then pour over the meat mixture.
    9. Place bay leaves on top for garnish.
    10. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the topping is set and golden brown.
    11. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
