Description

Ingredients
- 5 gallons of water
- 1.5 lbs of malted barley
- 1 lb of corn
- 0.5 lbs of hops
- 1 packet of yeast
- 1 cup of sugar
Instructions
- Begin by boiling 5 gallons of water in a large pot.
- Once the water reaches a rolling boil, add the malted barley and corn, stirring continuously for about 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, remove the pot from heat and let it cool to around 70°F (21°C).
- Strain the mixture to separate the liquid from the grains, collecting the liquid in a fermentation vessel.
- Add the hops to the liquid and let it steep for another 15 minutes.
- After steeping, remove the hops and add the sugar, stirring until fully dissolved.
- Allow the mixture to cool completely before adding the yeast.
- Seal the fermentation vessel and let it sit in a dark, cool place for about 1-2 weeks, or until fermentation is complete.
- Once fermentation is done, bottle the beer and let it carbonate for another week before enjoying.
