Ingredients
- 3 ripe plantains
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour

- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Peel the ripe plantains and cut them into chunks.
- In a large bowl, mash the plantains until smooth.
- Add the flour, chopped onions, green bell pepper, salt, black pepper, nutmeg, and baking powder to the mashed plantains. Mix until well combined.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the plantain mixture into the hot oil, flattening them slightly with the back of the spoon.
- Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fritters from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
