Erika Alexander Mid-Career Retrospective

2024 marks the 40th anniversary since our co-founder, Erika Alexander, was discovered at Freedom Theatre at just 14 years old. Erika’s career is as hot as ever, having starred last year in the Oscar-winning film, American Fiction, for which she received multiple acting award nominations! As we celebrate this incredible milestone, join us for the “Erika Alexander Mid-Career Retrospective” to reflect on the impact of Erika’s iconic career to date and give back to the communities that raised her. The celebration includes events in Philadelphia and Brooklyn, and will feature film screenings, talk-back sessions with Erika (and special guests), Erika’s live commentary on Living Single episodes, and the renaming of the street in front of Philadelphia’s Freedom Theatre to “Erika Alexander Way.” Special thanks to Philadelphia Councilman Jeffery Young, Jr. and PA State Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta for helping make this happen! Additionally, we’ll highlight Erika’s community activism and our new non-profit, Color Farm Impact!
