Black History Month Creative Writing Workshop with Lyrispect- “ Unearthing Our Layers”

Our Director of Programming, Nina “Lyrispect” Ball will lead participants through a 90-minute immersive workshop that explores creative expression through poetic expository, rhyme and traditional short-form poetry. Participants will write from the heart, respond to prompts from current events as well as drawn inspiration from our current exhibitions “Audacious Freedom”, “Rising Sun: Artists in an Uncertain America” and “(re)FOCUS: Then and Now”. Adult learners and youth aged 13+ are encouraged to register to reserve their space. All ages and ability levels are welcome. Dress comfortably for movement and a gentle warm up. Light refreshments will be served. Space is limited.
