We Hold These Truths - A Celebration of Black Excellence
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal." America was founded on these words in 1776, but we are still a long way from true equity. Join the Choir School and Delaware Humanities as we explore Black History in America since 1900 through song. WEATHER by Rollo Dilworth anchors the program, setting a poem by Claudia Rankine that grapples with racial injustice and the pandemic in Summer 2020. An introduction by the composer and a panel discussion will guide us as we explore these themes.
