Manayunk Gets Lit 

The joy of lights is synonymous with the holidays. And Main Street in Manayunk does not disappoint. It will be aglow at Manayunk Gets Lit — a spectacular lights display competition featuring more than 80,000 sparkling lights and participation from more than 50 local businesses. The lights will be illuminated in their full glory through December 31st. Stroll over to Canal View Park, 4418 Main St., to see Manayunk’s giant holiday tree. Enjoy food, beverage deals, shopping specials, live holiday entertainment, and the free Jolly Trolley ride with Santa down Main Street. Check out the Philadelphia Freedom Band and a cookie-decorating competition at The Manayunk Welcome Center, 106 Grape St., in the evening, from 5 p.m. EST to 8 p.m. EST. It will be a daylong festival of festive fun, free, from 8 a.m. EST to 5 p.m. EST.
